4 radios later....
DirtyDog nailed it...
i think its more of a tech issue and less of a radio issue.
A good tech would have had it fixed right the first time.
My 10 sport radio had to be reflashed/updated, radio hasnt been a problem since.
Just my .10 cents
(due to inflation caused by the idiot in the whitehouse, we can no longer use .02 cents)

"Dealership gave up"---what the hell is that all about??????? Maybe they should tell the truth and say, "We don't know what the problem is, BUT, we will find out". I would go back, then go back again and again and again. If they can't fix it, go to another dealership and try again and call Dodge for assistance.

I had my RHR replaced about a month after I bought the truck. The usb stopped working all together. Took them about 2 weeks to get in and they installed it right before my eyes. Behind that dash is amazing, They definitely used up all space back there, so damaged wires could be an issue. With them replacing 3 decks again damage is certainly possible. My only issue with that is AM/FM is all built in amplifier. So I am assuming that the amp they replaced was for the alpine system? Anyways bottom line I think the issue that you are having is with the deck. BUT what brought it on was no the deck itself.
What I mean by that is I think there is something that is throwing the deck off. My first guess is improper grounding, next would be over voltage. This is where I agree with everyone else by saying SOME techs are completely clueless. They automatically go to the device, not what is between them. If it is a loose ground or bad ground its not going to come up when the vehicle is sitting there. Its gonna act up on the road.
My other guess is if they actually replaced the deck in the first place. When they did mine I made sure of it, they handed me a warranty slip with the new serial number of the new deck. I knew for sure it had been replaced. Did they give something like that to you? It could be that they could not duplicate the problem and said "yup we fixed the deck" and they really didn't.

I'm on my third RER radio, and it'll be going back when I get home in June. First radio would boot sometimes as you start the truck and just went to a blue screen. No words or error codes, just bright blue. All you had to do was turn the truck off and remove the key, restart the truck and it'd be fine.
The 2nd RER would just randomly flake out, at least on the Nav portion. It'd sometimes show the cursor in a field of green, or it'd think you were in Alabama rather than Texas for whatever reason.
The 3rd RER has a smaller issue overall, but the one that's the most pain to deal with. The touch screen is off, so you'll hit the CD button on the screen and it'll think you've pressed some other button 4 or 5 inches away.
When I get back home in June I'm going to take it in and bitch enough that they give me one of the newer radios.
