Those are exactly the same lights from gorecon.com, if not pretty damn close to the same. I would say that's a really good deal considering they come with hids, Recon are asking 549 for theirs and they don't come with hid, and i'd say the quality will be the same, sometimes i wonder with recon, it's all the same chinese crap in the end. I have recons and i paid what they ask for but if i could go back in time i would of went with these or spyder auto lights. As for the hid's looks like they come with a relay from the picture, but you'll still have to do a bit of wiring to get them working with your low beams, and i would recommend going with the 4300k kit (i have 6000k and with the projector it looks more blue than my 6000k fog lights, i think the 4300k in the projector would give it that white color of the 6000k in the fog light) and make sure you get that warning canceller with it. It would be a hit or miss but i'd say it's worth it and the light output should be a lil better, and they will just look sweet on the truck.

Halogen projectors are NOT made for HID's which is exactly what those are.

They are hit/miss and generaly have poor output. They are nothing like Retrofits which are true HID projectors made for HID bulbs. Stock housings with HIDs installed will be much brighter(illegal, but brighter)

i warned lots of 3rd Gen guys going that route and more than 3/4 of them complained about the light ouput. Again, hit/miss with the HIDs installed, but the halgen projectors are made differently than actual HID projectors. The cut-off and especially the quality of lenses used are different. Also, the bulbs are different lengths which changes the ouput depending on the lens used. This matters because it's just like a magnifying glass as you move towards and away from the paper, same thing happens to the bulb. As it gets closer, the ouput diminishes.

Contact JJ at retroshop.us and you can get them completely customized, I have a set of lights from him and they are AWESOME! Take a look at his gallery and look at his work. Then as for HID's he uses Retro-Solutions and they have been great. Had a little corrosion contacted there customer service and Todd took care of me promptly and had a great experience dealing w/ them.
