New to Dodge
Interesting numbers. I came across a 0-60 of 7.4 for the ram crew in a truck comparison done in 2009.
I also heard the the turbo V6 was a fairly expensive option although I haven't actually looked up the numbers.

It is only a $750 option. If I was buying a 1/2 ton I would buy the Ford Ecoboost hands down. Better mpg and more power then the hemi. I have a 3/4, and I need a 3/4 ton for now and that is why I bought a Dodge. It gets better mpg then the Ford and Chevy gasser 3/4 tons, and has plenty of power. If Ford would make a ecoboost 5.0 in a 3/4 ton sorry, but this Dodge would be gone.
On paper twin turbos on a smaller displacement eninge are apealing, but I really doubt the engine will stand up, a bigger displacment engine can better handel a turbo, say a diesel engine, the hemi gets the job done with out the head achs of turbos, just wait to the ford guys start uping the boast as thier engines will allways be in turbo mode to keep up to a bare bones, simplistic hemi.
Displacment is free, turbos add $$$$ that you don't need to pay for.

I agree with cyclone... Yes ford did the so called extreme environmental testing in a controlled environment... But either way.. It's not the real world. Who knows it may end up being a great engine but when that ecoboost has issues its going to cost more than we all want to know. I'll stick with a big displacement naturally aspirated engine..
