New transmission....

Default New transmission....

I have a 2009 5.7 hemi lifted on 35s I want to replace the transmission but don't know what kind to get.

The torque converter I can understand, but the entire transmission???

I got the same setup that you have and there's absolutely nothing wrong with this transmission, I actually like it does what it's supposed to do and that's working hard towing and what not.

Maybe you want to change your gears in the diffs that'd be a better idea, unless you really have lots of money to waste, even then i really don't know what you could throw in there that'd be compatible and not give you trouble. If i'd have lots of money and time to do a tranny change I'd throw a manual tranny, now that'd be cool.

With 4.56s and 35s that should be a sweet setup... Why thinking of a new transmission?

Well my past two dodges trannys went out and I played in the mud and did. Little hauling so I was just wondering if I should just go ahead and beef it up

Oh I see, well sorry I can't help for choosing and upgraded tranny if there's even one, but if i was you i'd just wait till the current one goes. what years and model were the other 2 dodges you had?

in almost three quarters of a decade as a dodge mechanic i saw very few 45/545rfe transmissions bad that weren't obvious signs of neglect or abuse. now if your talking 42 or 46rh/re then thats different they are horror stories waiting to happen.
