Default 2011 & 2012 Ram Hemi Performance Module

JET Performance Products now has a plug and play module for the 11&12 Hemi's. Dynamic Spectrum Tuning provides power gains across the entire power band-not just at full throttle. Point by point air/fuel ratio, ignition advance and various other tuning points provide performance gains of 17+ HP and 19+ FPT at the wheels.

I dont have a 11' or 12...but i wouldn't even bother wasting my $$ on this for 17hp... Stick it out n wait for SC, Diablo or BD to crack the encryption... From ehat i read it won't be to much longer they were looking at fall of this year. Just my two cents...

Mikeyyy816 even if those other guys come out with a programmer it is highly unlikely you'd get more then 17+ from them. Programmers are only better then modules in the sense that they allow you to re-calibrate the speed-o, modify shifts. But if someone only wants more HP and doesn't care about the other functions and doesn't want to void the factory warranty, then why not save some $$$ and buy a module.

Isn't the speedo re-cal, tranny tune, tire size, clear codes, MDS delete, ESP delete, etc, together with the 15-20hp gain going to make a programmer well worth it over a module?

As for the saved money, I don't see it. The jet module are $300 on the site linked, and a Superchips or Diablo can be had for that, or less and do much more.

That being said, currently, this is about the only option for the 11-12 guys, so it is hard for me to say, but I could never see buying a module over programmer for the same money.

Yes, the module MSRP is around $300.00 but if purchased from a distributor prices are around $225.00.

I do not think it is a matter of if the others will have a tuner, but when. My inquiry said by the end of the year for SC.

The Jetchip is certainly easier for those wanting to plug in power fast. I prefer the ability to modify rev limits, transmission shifts, ect. Plus I still have my 09 tuner, just wanting for my update

All,

I just want to make something clear to everyone about the statement made regarding the warranty. Any modification to the vehicle that causes a failure may not be covered if that is determined to be the case. That includes programmers, modules, tuners, and anything else. The official wording is below.

Some modifications Do Not void the warranties but are not covered.
The vehicle warranties do not cover any part that was not on the vehicle when it left the manufacturing plant or is not certified for use on your vehicle. Nor do they cover the costs of any repairs or adjustments that might be caused or needed because of the installation or use of non-Chrysler parts, components, equipment, materials, or additives.

Basically covered under the Magnuson-Moss Act. The manufacturer cannot void their warranty just because you modified your truck. However, they do not have to warranty ANY original parts if they can prove that the modification caused the failure of those parts.
