I'm curious what others experience with them are. I took mine off today, I have a 2010 Ram 1500, so that I can repaint them. They have chips missing all over and on the front outside (facing the tire) and rear inside (facing front tire) the paint is completely stripped. In addition, 3 of the bolts came loose on the inside while I was taking off the nut. No clue how I'm going to fix that and, one already fell inside the bulkhead there. 3 of the "pads" (the plastic parts you step on) are broken in at least one point, with one completely broken off. The paint chips off very easily and, almost reminds me of how easily lead paint chips off. Very stiff and in dime to quarter size chunks. A few more places chipped off while I was cleaning them to prep for repainting with plasti dip.
