unless they changed their tune drastically in the 15 months since i was a dodge mechanic, they recommend 35" max on their ifs trucks and besides, 4" only clears 37" tires on a 2500/3500 truck, you need 6" to clear on a 1500.

i've replaced many a half shaft on rams with 37s and a few with 35s also. them half shafts just dont like big tires and cant stand running at over 20% higher than stock angles - and thats straight from the engineers who built it. 20" wheels also raises larger problems due to more weight and taking the weight axis farther out from the hub.

if you wanna do it on your truck it can be done but be prepaired to replace a lot of front end parts and maybe have it flat bedded home some day. the third gen section has a good many guys who snapped half shafts.

yes, i have 35s nitto trail grapplers, and my cv snapped and ripped out my brake line. 4-hi was in and i was roughin pretty hard. the dealer did cover my warrenty, just paid $100 deductable. ive got a 6" pro comp stage 1, bilstien leveling shocks set at 2.8 inches in the front, and 1 1/2" inch rear spacer. i really want 37s...but doesnt look like ill go that route
