There are no adjustments. All electronic. Star is not customer service. Star is engineering. Why would you want to run 75 mph in 4th. Hope your not towing at 75mph.

it was just making a point. I hope I dont tow 75 either, BUT if I do I shouldnt have to stay locked in fourth at almost 4000 rpm. You're missing the point which is you do NOT have to lock in fourth, youre SUPPOSED to be able to lock in 5th. Which I can now.

maybe "adjustments" are the wrong word. The dealer and custaomer assistance BOTH said they should be able to reset the shift points, they did hook it up and said there were no "codes" so "adjustments" or whatever, they changed something, and wont admit for for some unknown reason.

When in Tow/Haul mode 2nd prime becomes 3rd gear and the highest gear available is the first overdrive gear 0.075 (4th gear) even though the number "5" is displayed in the EVIC.

mine is the 2012. Even the printable manual says you can chose ANY gear when in ers as the HIGHEST gear. Like I said, it WOULD shift out of 5th and go into 6th. RPM's tell the story! Now the dealer swears they did nothing and 4th is the highest possible gear I can lock it in. Obviously since it NOW will lock in 5th while towing as opposed to only when not towing as before, they changed something, and won't admit it. Guess they didn't want to admit I was right but their problem is in the process they lost a customer. How do I know its in 5th? Because at 65 mph it turns barely over 2000 RPM. in 6th 1600 RPM and in 4th around 2500 RPM. I can now lock in 5th, at 65 turn barely 2000 all day long.

I had a post about this a while back. There's a real shady dodge dealer around here, and a terrible Chevy dealer too. Unfortunately the shady chevy dealer is the one closest to my house. Even little warranty repairs they were a complete pain, never shot me straight, etc. Then I was recommended a different dealership even though it was 30 mins from my house. that dealership is FANTASTIC.

A lot of times its just finding the right dealer, but glad to hear you fouind one that treats you right!

My wife and I put it in tow/haul and shifted it with ERS and tried numerous times on a quiet rural road to feel how many shifts. That 2nd and 2nd prime is to small of a spread in ratio to feel.

Once Superchips comes out with the Advance Trans tuning for the 2012's you'll be all set and YOU will decide where and when your truck shifts both up and down! Until then...Your stuck with the factory slushbox!
I just did some towing last week. Made 2 trips for a total of 10yards of heavy wet black mulch plus my tandem trailer weighs 1300#s. I'd guess 3500-4klbs total each trip. Truck shifted like a dream. I smiled all the way home!

well your right about dealerships. You dont live in New Smyrna by any chance? The chevy dealer AND Dodge dealer are owned by the same people, or at least the Gen. Manager is the same guy. The Dodge dealer in Daytona, (service) seemed great, I'l be giving him a chance. Oh, now that my 2012 CAN be locked in 5th, or I should say 5the CAN be selected as the highest gear and it doesn't upshift to 6, as I knew it should, I couldn't ask for it to work any better. But I am anxious for the superchips to be out for it, or Hypertech. Lots of write ups say the hypertech is better. Oh, by the way, I have a Hypertech for 6.4 Ford I'd like to sell, really works great.
