Had my bumper replaced under warranty one week ago because of rust appearing on the outter edges of the bumper, new one installed had missing chrome coating on it...look like black specs in the chrome. Dealer agreed to replace it with another one. Two bumpers in a week!

Anyone else see this issue?

 

I`ve yet to see a 4th gen bumper that hasnt begun to rust... get use to to it, the replacement bumpers are made exactly the same, so those are going to rust as well. Typical dodge quality. Ford & chevy & toyota are no better.

I have the black specs on my 2012, looks like the tried to paint the back side of the bumper and its some overspray. They come off with a fingernail. Around the upper edge where the black plastic is it looks like the bumper wasnt polished before it was chromed. Hasnt started rusting after a winter.

The bumpers on my old 2010 never rusted either, except for a tiny spot on the rear where it looked like something hit it and chipped the chrome off. Some of that rust stop stuff and a dab of clear and it never spread.
