Default lift, tire questions...

hi all.

im new to this so im sorry if its been posted already but i have searched to no avail.

i recently bought a 2012 ram 1500 4x4.

my plans are to install a 2" level kit in the front and new rims.

my rims i am looking at are fuel cranks d516, 18x9, -12mm offset with 4.5 in. backspacing.

i really want to run 325/60 18's on it. thats 33.3 X 12.79 inches.

i have read ppl on here running 35x1250's. so my question is this..

can i run that tire with a -12mm offset on a 9 wide rim and NOT RUB.

i dont like the idea of wheel spacers, i am an auto mechanic and they are not safe.

i would like to know if someone has personal experience with the above mentioned settings or if it will work...

all the math is spinning my head in circles.

thanks for your help!

Almost 13" of width is going to be tight on a coil over front end. I know the torsion front 3rd Gens can handle 13" wide tires with 4.5" of backspacing but they have more room.

I agree on not using wheel spacers - tons of guys on this forum run 'em but I've seen some pretty bad fails myself.

Someone with a 4th Gen and tires wider than 12.5" may chime in here...

Just my 2 cents - I have an 09 Ram and did a 4" Rough Country lift and put 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers on my stock 20"s. I have 1/4" spacers all around because it was tight - tight up front, but it didn't rub - but it needed some room. I did 1/4" in the rears too because I was getting some rubbing in the wheel wells going up and down some logging roads. I haven't had any issues with 'em so far - knock on wood - and have been pretty happy with the overall setup.
