will 2 inch rear drop void warranty??
I have been looking at adding the groundforce lowering springs and shocks in the rear to level my truck. I hate the tilted forward look, but i dont want any issues. I talked to the dealer and i wasnt reassured too much. I know it will change the angle of the drive shaft but thats the only thing i see that MIGHT cause a problem if any at all. Does anyone have any first hand experience of warranty issues or issues with dropping the rear 2" in general?
When your truck is loaded it sits 2" lower so the driveshaft will run at the same angle as it would with the lowering springs. Does it void your warranty if you drive around loaded all the time? Your basically creating the same scenario.
This might not answer your question, but food for thought anyway...

Only Warranty you void with doing stuff like that are on the parts directly effected such as rear springs, shocks, u-joints and maybe even the rear seal on the trans since the driveshaft will protrude inwards .5cm or so. If theres any rust formation, that part will now be rubbing on the seal.
So, anything else like your rear-end, transmission, engine, front suspension could never be effected by your warranty.
Gotta love it when the dealer says no to an electrical warranty because you installed a DF bumper sticker....rofl
