Default TPMS troubles

i have a 2010 dodge ram 2500( well really my dad has it) and the TPMS is messing up on it. what happens is you will be driving down the road and all of a sudden the warning light will come on for the TPMS and it will show that the passenger side rear tire has no pressure reading. then sometimes it during the same drive the light will go off and the reading will come back and everything is back to normal. i have put air in the tire to see if i can fix the problem even though it wasnt low on air but still it continues. this is my first truck with the TPMS and i dont know what is happening.

Probably a bad sensor. Go to your dealership.

I had the same problem last week - 25 miles into my commute and the light came on ... went another 20 and it shut off. Did that twice last week and has since stopped. Figure it won't be long though and it'll be back on. I'll let it annoy me for awhile before I go to the dealership!!

I'd put money on a bad sensor too...just take it in and have it looked at...

Some people have noticed that if you install HIDs into your headlight it does cause issues with the TPMS. I think I am starting to experience that myself, but I get a check TPMS message. Mine is a little different because it throws the whole system off (I get no readings) Then just one tire. Just thought I would throw that in there in case someone else reads this...
