Default Dye?

There is no dye in the system. My evap went bad and they charged it with the dye to find leak. They had to replace whole evap which was an 8 hour job according to my dealer. Hope yours is still under warranty! My went bad at 36,000 miles.

Its not a 8 hour job for a experienced tech. More like a 4 hour.

Gee, how much did that cost? No, no warranty left. 3 yrs came before the 36,000. Have 33,000 on it now. Had received one from a place I ordered on line and it is damaged from shipping, so I have to send it back. The Evap/Dryer is leaking the oil out, so that is where mine is bad. Things are expensive. It shouldn't take 8 hrs to change that out. The longest part should be the A/C stuff.

I took mine to one of the biggest Dodge dealerships here in the St. Louis area and it was the first one they ever had to change on a new RAM. So no tech had any experience with it and they had to remove entire dash to get to it that is why my dealership told me 8 hours.

They changed mine under warranty so I dont know how much it would have cost.

ENTIRE dash is a word they love to elaborate. ENTIRE dash comes out in a half hour or so.
