White Truck Attracts Bugs
Anyone else have this problem? My truck color is "super bright white" and the bugs love it. These small flys are constantly on the hood and roof leaving little poop stains that only come off with wax. I could drive miles than park and bugs are on it in minutes. A little google research revealed that there is some sort of UV additive in the paint to make it look brighter and to the bugs it looks like a giant lightbulb. WTF!
LOL....Sorry I know. Not funny, but I have a friend with the same problem. With the truck I mean. He said the same thing, that the bugs love his truck, like a moth to a flame. It is a weird thing, but apparently you are not alone.
Yes, very annoying. More so when it's night out, you're washing the truck under lights and just as you make your circle you see black dots (gnats) all over your bed cover. Frustration to the max. I think next time I'll spend 2 bucks spraying the air and walls and lights to give them something else to die on. Be nice if car washes all had those air blowers like store entrances have been installing lately (two for one deal: bug prevention and drying).
