Default Is it me or the tires?

I just put Big O Big Foot A/T tires on my 2012 Ram 1500. Went from stock Wrangler HPs to this tire. Ride seems a lot rougher and truck feels harder to control. Size is 275 60 20. I needed the tires as will be doing off road in winter. However, I do a lot of highway driving too and snow driving too. Looked at the Nito Crossteks, however, sales guy thought this would be more suitable tire.

Anybody have the Bigfoots? Feedback please. Pressure in tires is about 40.

Thanks.

Chalk the tires and check the pattern. 40 may be too much pressure for the weight. If the tires are over inflated you'll get a lumber wagon type ride and the steering will be twitchy.

going to an a/t is usually going to give you a rougher ride. also in an a/t the tread blocks are taller and more spread apart giving you whats called tread squirm and can make it harder to control. 40 psi is perfect for the truck. if the truck is shaking it can be a balancing issue or a bad tire. it is not too common to get a bad tire but like anything else it does happen. the tire that is trully gonna be the best fit for you is the cooper zeon ltz. not too aggressive but will handle offroad use, but they ride amazing. will ride much better and wear better than the factory goodyears. ( they also look BADASS!)

I agree. Keep the tire pressure at what's recommended on the truck's tire plaque. No need to over inflate. Off hand I think it's 35. I looked up those tires and they don't look that aggressive that they should be a problem.

Why don't you go ask the "sales guy" you bought them from?
A couple weeks ago you started 2 separate threads asking for advise on tires, you got 6 or 7 different recommendations for great tires that guys on here have tried and liked.
Then you went out and bought what the sales guy thought would be "more suitable"
Seems like he would be the guy to complain to.
