brake shudder

Question brake shudder

2009 ram 1500 replaced front brake pads ,had rotors turned ,shop said rotors were warp but not bad . truck has rear disc brakes , still have brake shudder can feel it through out the truck . Will rear rotors cause this ?

Yes they can if warped.

Dpac,

I agree with 12. Rear rotors can cause this as well.

Mine were warped. Had them turned the other day. Only barely hit the blade but it was enough to feel. I had my fronts done earlier and I could definitley tell the difference in braking. I used the NAPA Adaptive 1 pads. No dust at all. I mean none. Funny thing is I thought my pads needed changing but when I took off the wheels I had 1/2 the pads left. at 52,000 miles. I did them anyway. Pedal feel alone was worth it. The rams have a long brake travel to the pedal. More so than the F-150 or F-250's I drive as well.

had rear rotors turned ,shop said one rotor warp pretty bad had to turn four times . installed on truck , no shudder . thanks all
