For those of you with a column shift in an ST - is the end cap of the shift lever chrome or black? I've had an issue with the "chrome" on mine flaking off and I'm getting tired of cutting myself up on it. Need to buy a replacement, and if there is a non "chrome" cap I would definitely prefer that.

 

My work truck is a ST and the end cap is black.

hmm, my chrome is holding up ok but it does get hotter then you know what in the summer sun ... black probably better
