I prefer a high unicorn tear content in my oil. That's why I have a unicorn ranch.

...nah, i got better ones for ya, but most people in here wouldn`t see our side of the humor budd... hehehehehe. Anyhow, before we get told to stay on topic, everyone should run what ever oil makes them happy. I`ve had the best luck with valvoline myself. I run scamsoil in my harley`s & yamaha motorcycles. Lots of really good lubes out there today... i dont see why people get so up tight about oils. Engines are built way better today as well.

I run yamalube in my Kawasakis. I'd run it in my truck if it wasn't so expensive. I believe it contains 2x the unicorn tears of leading competitors.

Love yamalube myself too, BUT... you`re right, way to much money for it.

Yamalube is downright inexpensive compared to the BRP stuff, but that is what the manual says that the supercharger wants - so that is what it gets.

I got turned on to yamalube maybe 20 years ago. Guy at a local bike shop used it in everything. When you consider extreme 12k+ rpm range, maybe yamaha does have standards their suppliers must meet.

Truth is motor oil is a blind product. I pour walmart fleetline oil into a jar, then some super oil brand into another jar, it is really impossible to tell a difference. Seeing I don't believe marketing claims (because it is mere puffery), it can be difficult to buy a more expensive brand for me personally. As you know unicorn tears are invisible once mixed with oil.
