Rear Bumper Compatibility

I have an Dodge Ram 1500 2009. I looking to put a steel roll pan on it but I have yet to find a steel one for my year. There is however, a 2008 one. So my question(s) is will a 2008 one fit on my 2009? If not, is it a mounting issue or a size issue (Length, width or height type of thing)? Thanks in advance.
