Exhaust on new 2012
Hello. I just recently traded my 06 2500 ram I6 for a 2012 Hemi. I was wanting to put exhaust on it. One of my coworkers had a 2010 and he said he just cut the muffler off and put on a flowmaster there to give him decent sound. I live in PA, so I need a muffler (sadly). Anyway long question longer... I've heard through differnt resources that adding an aftermarket exhuast on a truck with active fuel mangement (whatever dodge calls it) can cause back pressure issues when it drops to the 4cyclinder mode. So is this true? Is it an issue? Other then sounding like a rice burner when I am in 4cyclinder mode??? Thanks

2 things
1) Flowmasters are some of the worst flowing mufflers made - expect noise and less power
2) The most common complaint by people who cut off the stock exhaust and put on something else is the drone that you get when the MDS kicks in. There are dozens of threads about it here.
