I just got off the phone with the shop. I certainly didn't get any road hazard protection, so it is going to cost me $350 for a nice new tire.

$350? I hope they are going to kiss you first. You can buy those tires for $246

Awww USA prices. I wish I could pay those sometimes. Cheap cars, cheap gas, cheap tires, cheap electronics, etc.

This is what they cost up north of the boarder.

OK - that shows $280, not $350

Oh shoot, well the 275/60r20 shows $338 on my end. And that is before tax, shipping, and installation. SO I guess I have to be okay with $350 installed out the door from a shop.

Could just go to Wal-Mart and get a half decent GoodYear tire, are their prices up there comparable to those in the States?

Walmart has NOTHING in my size up here. Complete junk tires. I also don't like the idea of having 3 of one tire, and a random 4th.

I really don't mind paying money for a quality tire, and I have been extremely happy with the Silent Armor tires. I just would have rather not had to buy 5 on them, LOL

Got the truck back a couple hours ago. I am very impressed with the way these tires had been wearing. The new tire, is only 1/4 taller then the 3 tires that have 25,000kms on them. So they told me I wouldn't have any balance issues with 1 new tire, and 3 older tires, and they would just leave it on the front for the next couple rotations, and the weight of the front end should catch up the wear to the other tires by the time they all need replaced.

They did tell me since the tire was so new that they would put it in the "warranty section" for the rep to inspect when he comes next, and I may get some goodwill credit. But not to hold my breathe on it.
