09 1500 broken manifold studs
The above posts are correct. All 09 owners have lifetime drivetrain if you bought it new.
As for re-occurances I wonder how many are lazy works not getting the difficult bolts? If I recall it was just replace the bolts, not gasket. So the lazy guy could say "5 of 8 is good enough"
Ask for the old ones back maybe?

The hemi engine is known to have the hottest spots on the back two cylinders. It is just an intrinsic issue that Dodge has known about for a long time, part of the hemi heads/engine design. The fasteners (studs) have to stretch extra relative to the others sutds/bolts because of the heat so they break if not torqued properly. That is why the recall only affects cylinders 7 & 8. The exhaust manifolds expand a lot due to the heat and the studs can't handle it. If you make the studs so hard that they do not expand (stretch) along with the manifold, then the threads in the head will fail. Kind of tricky, that is why the fastener engineers at dodge haven't figured it out - thus second failures after the recall. I'm wondering if the '10s and up use different exhaust manifolds with different heat expansion characteristics.
While At the dealer I asked them to check if this repair would be under my 2009 Ram 1500 Lifetime Powertrain warranty. Service writer ran vin on Chrysler computer. Came back and said I don't have that coverage. Only 3yr/36K which is now expired. I showed them my window sticker stating it came with purchase. But Chrysler systems says I don't. Owner says he will contact them. I suggest all owners who think they have lifetime warranty double check with Chrysler before you need it.
If you are the first owner you should have coverage unless the warranty was restricted for some reason. If you are not the first owner you will not have Lifetime as it is first owner only. If you are the first owner and they come back saying you do not have the coverage then I suggest sending me a PM with your Vin and I will look into it for you.
If you are the 2nd owner and as you say the warranty is expired, I would suggest a call to the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center and as them to cover it anyway. Numbers below.

i'm the first owner. To my knowledge there is no reason to limit warranty. Dealer checked vin with Chrysler and system said no Lifetime Warrantty. The owner of dealership promised to "talk to a company rep" and get back to me. Parts to complete repair not in stock, needed to be ordered. I'll let you know when I get an answer, thanks.

Sometimes the warranty code gets messed up if it was in before and the dealer misspelled the name entering a claim. I can fix that if that is the case.

Chrysler took that as a second owner and removed my Lifetime Warranty.
Dealer was able to correct the mistake, parts for manifold repair came in and all was repaired under my reinstated Lifetime Warranty.
