Here a runner up on an earlier post.
Just got back from a 3,847 total mile from Missouri trip to Virginia/ Chesapeake Area area pulling 4500-5000lbs carrying 800 plus on a new 1/2 ton Long Horn edition. Pulling twice across the Smokies. Made a earlier post, Hey there Dodge you's a lisen'n, on my consernes on the digital tranny tem gage & a couple of others.
Dodge you did just fine, just fine indeed !!!!! Plenty of power left in reserve when needed, comfort, ride, with little excessive wind noise ~ tight body.
My '01 3/4 ton Chevy was a very good truck, burnt no oil nor leaked any, First oil change from then on Mobil 1,, but in '01 they chocked down that 6.2 (364 ci) so much with only 300 HP & 300 lbs of torque I had got use to having so little in a 3/4 ton. The factory temp gage showed a study 190 in pulling the same load only some times getting to 200 maybe 205.
Now this Dodge, I don't know how they did it, but it held a very respectable 145 or somewhere close in the same zone,,, BUT, here is something interesting ~~~~if I forgot to engage the Tow/Hall after a stop, that temp would climb to 170 a little above or below, depending when I would look down to notice what I failed to do.
I could go on, but with that yesterdays post/title of mine,,,Hey there Dodge You's ah lisen'n,,,
If you's are,,,You are building for us truck owners one great truck in the here and now( !!!) but remember this,,,Don't you ever let up, keep pulling & pushing in & on in the same direction you are going now. Don't you ever take less in all of the different aspects and innovations it takes to put together the truck I bought this year, and in doing so, I gave to you my trust.
