30k plug change and now a/c issue..Possible warranty gouging
So a phone call today from the other dealer states a leak from either the evaporater or the lines connecting to it through the firewall. Sounds like a tech used those lines to prop themselves up while changing my plugs. Also look up 30 plus reviews of that dealer and ALL were BAD... Go figure. Also Atomic Dog I dont understand the sarcasm from your last post???
Had the short runner valve replaced over a year ago and in the process they damaged the front ac line and replaced on their dime, definitely a sure sign to stay away from them if they won't repair their own f ups, called dodge and make a complaint so they are aware an can look into it, my particular dealer has had issues in the past that seemed to have been resolved.
You need to see whats leaking. Would not blame other dealer until YOU REALLY KNOW. Dealer that has it SHOULD NOT have bad mouthed the other dealer. I guarantee you they have customers that don't like them either. Bad reviews. Thats human nature in the car business. Deductibles on extended service contracts when factory warranty expires? I have one. Its a $100 bucks and dosen't care when or where it broke. You need to personally see whats leaking and why before tossing stones. You might be correct and you might not on the cause of failure.
Foobar!!!!!
Yeah Murphy can happen but I'm sorry it worked fine prior to service and now it doesn't work, yeah right it just broke for no reason! Very very unlikely IMO! Do check your connections under the hood!

So I got the truck back a few days ago and all is good now. So the major leak was on the evaporator right next to the expansion valve. I told the tech I wanted to see it and I could see dye leaking out of a press joint on the evaporator. They must have used my ac lines as a trampoline or something when changing my plugs. What a pita.
I really doubt that changing the plugs caused you ac problems. I got an 09 and my evap started leaking at 36,000 miles. I took it in because the ac was not working, they charged it up and called to say it was done. I no more got out of the parking lot and the ac didnt work. After dye test they found evap was leaking.
There have been a number of posts about evaps leaking and mine was covered by the 3/36 warranty. Yes it was a pain in the *** because I had to take it back 3 times but it didnt cost anything to get it fixed.
