I know it's a long shot, but can it be done? Software update or would I need a whole new head unit?

 

I've had an iPhone 4 with my 2009 running the RER (NavTeq Nav version) and I haven't had any luck. I'm running the latest MyGig software/firmware I could find (RER 2.402), but that was released back in March 2011. I'm sure there's newer firmware out there, but I haven't had any luck finding where to download it from.

 

I do it in my 3rd Gen but I have an after market HU
