Lately I've been noticing a knocking noise coming from my front end when I go over bumps at slow speeds. I got under the truck yesterday and my driver's side cv axle has a fair bit of play in it. The majority of the play is up/down (which I also have on the passenger side, although less so) but there is also movement left-right - I think that is where the knock is coming from. The rest of the axle looks like it's in good condition. I'm just wondering if it's possible the c-ring has come unseated and this may be allowing the left to right play? I don't really have time to take it in to have it checked out until Christmas break, so I'm hoping it's nothing I need to worry about just yet.

 

as long as you dont have to use 4wd it should be ok. just keep an eye on it
