I want to tap the power outlet for my radar detector. I'm installing the detector on my visor and plan on running wires down the pillar of the truck, is there a shortcut instead of running wires all the way to the fusebox in the hood?

Why not go with the blend mount and install it under your rear view mirror. Then you can tap the power into the powered rear view mirror. Just a thought. Did mine and it looks clean. You can get the power cable from........? cant remember. Im sure someone else here can recall.
