2012 Ram 2500 hemi
Ya you got a bad, bad, bad, dodge, after one year you get a code, a po300 ( Don't know what it means) But like thier so much more bad stuff to hit you that all ready has not happened..
Its still under warenty and your putting too much faith in your auto parts scanner..
Disconnect booth battery cables and wait ten min, if check engine light comes back, its a warenty fix...

Okay, I serached out the po 300 code, www.obd-codes.com/p0300 Thiers a list of possible causes, some are simple, like a lose coil pack that could cause a random mulitpul missfire.
Your going to need a lot thicker dispossition if you want to own a Dodge, but best to keep the bath water!!
It can be fixed under warenty!!!

this a good one went to the dealer this moring tech cleared the code and told me that it was the gas i have been using ? same gas that i have always used some time different stations but same brand and same octane 91 , he told me that the cold temps we have been having here that water builds up in the gas and the new sensors on these trucks it dosent take much to set them off that i dont have to worrie and just drive it,what do you guys think about this one? i think it bull **** myself if that was the case every dodge in north dakota would be in the shop
ummm.... Hes full of it.. A 300 code is usually a multiple cylinder misfire.... Could be a number of things.. Plugs, coil pack... But with it being a 2012 that should not be an issue.. I know after running 87 in our Hemi for a few years it went boom.. Needed a new motor... With winter blend gas being out just for the heck of it fill up with 93 if you can... If that dont take care of it then take it for Warranty..
If the code is clear than get on with your life, thiers a lot of minor items that trip up OBD 2 sytems, you sound disapointed at the simple, painless fix.
Not having the gas cap on tight can also light on the check engine light.
