Rear springs
Yes, a couple weeks back. I can't vouch for the weight carrying capacity yet (He hasn't towed anything yet), but there is a noticeable difference compared to the Stock 1500 rental I'm stuck in right now. Just jumping on the rear bumper, you can feel the difference. His factory coils were about shot, so he actually gained about 1" of height at the rear axle just putting the Tufftruck springs in. I'm confident they will make a noticeable difference when towing.
Just my two cents........initially i towed a 6000 lb bumper pull and a HD Fatboy in the bed with my 2009 QC laramie 4x4 hemi, and man , did she squat and sway, later i installed bilstein 5100s in all 4 corners, skyjacker rear springs, and i trashed the hollow factory swaybar for a beefier, solid Heilweig,it made the world of difference, i gained about 3 inches empty height in the rear,in which i compensated in the front with the adjustability of the bilsteins , keeping a rake. Also a set of 275/65/20 nitto duragrappelers, awsome road tire, dry, rain, and snow.
Keep me informed DAWIZMAN.
The Outdoorsman seems to be up in the back compared to other models. I know they have heavy duty shocks. Once this weather passes which has been with us for a month or more. I'll hook on the trailer. Right now it's on a pad in the back yard and I don't want to tear the yard up or go slippin' and slidin' on ice and snow. I did hook on one day , back end went down but not by much--- it didn't look bad. It's a waiting game at the moment.
