Default Help with a Question

So i recently received another thing in the mail from my local dealership saying they will give me 23,550 for my 2009 dodge ram which is way more they i owe on it. So i am wondering has anybody else received these offers and is it just a scam to get you in or is it for real.

They may say that based on the fact that they know what you have and the year. Once they see it, see the mileage, check condition, everything changes. Would you give someone a price on a used truck sight-unseen when all you know is year and model? Neither will they.

I have gotten a couple of letters. Each quoting some dollar figure, they are in need of good used vehicles, etc.

An 09 is a four year old vehicle. that is when some people go looking for something new. I personally think its an attempt to get us to trade. 09 was the last year of the no cost power train warrenty. I am sure Ram would like to get as many first time 09 owners to trade in. it reduces their warranty liability.

mine is paid for. Just turned 30K. I doubt I will get rid of mine for at least another six years.

If you bought your 09 new, you likely have the lifetime powertrain coverage, i wouldnt part with it personally.

They send those flyer`s out all the time, would you like me to mail you all the ones they`ve sent to me...??? (just kidding...lol) They want your used vehicle because they make ALOT more money off from used vehicles because they wont give you **** for a trade-in price. (why do you think we call them ...STEALERSHIPS) And also not to mention (like someone else mentioned) they will no way give you THAT much for an 09 truck for a trade-in. I have a 2010 QC 4x4 LOADED Hemi with EVERY OPTION they offered when i bought it ($47,000 i paid for it) and in 2 years, they wont give me anymore than $20,000 for trade-in allowance. So for you to think they`ll give you $23,550 for an 09, good luck. Likely they will only work off the retail price on the sticker for a new one. Thats why they say they can give you $23,550, that is until you get there and then they start beatin you down on your trade, that 23,550 will soon become 13,550. Go check it out for yourself and let us know what they say. But in the meentime, i would be holdin on to that 2009 you already have. These 2013 trucks dont have a whole lotta difference than what you already have... actually, you win, you have a lifetime powertrain warranty, 2010 on up, do not.
