2012 DODGE RAM 1500 better mpg?
Trade it in for a Corrola or a Civic is your best bet.
Seriously though, there is no magic "buy this to increase your MPG" or else everyone would have it, and you would already know about it.
You bought a truck, you know bad MPG is what you would get.

Any extra investment in the fourm of tunners, cai, ect, will buy a lot of gas.
mpg will improve when you break the truck in, this takes abought 10 to 15 thousand miles, and were also running are trucks on winter gas.
Use mid grade flue, I run 92 to 94 octane my truck and mpg and performance is better, no tunners on my truck.
Driving style and upkeep are the boaring, blah blah stuff were you see the best bang for the buck with mpg..

Yeah it's definitely a want vs need with trucks and mpg's. I'm currently breaking in a '12 Ram 1500 myself. I'm lucky where I have a work truck as well, so it doesn't hurt so much at the pump.
