Will 285/65/20 fit?
Hi everyone, newbie hear with a question - i have a 2011 ram 1500 bighorn quad cab 4x4 with a suspension Maxx 2 1/2 inch leveling system on the front, have the stock 20 inch chrome/clad rims and want to change the stock tires with the BFG AT 285/65/20 - i know in the past this question has come up, just looking for new input and really don't want to spend the big bucks on the BFG's if they are going to rub - went thru 2 sets of the BFG AT's on my last truck and was super satisfied with the performance of this tire and want to stick with the same brand if any changes possibly might get the tuffer lookin mud tire - Any imput would be great, thanks!
Don't know if they will rub or not. Here is a good sight to compare your current tires with what you are wanting

if you have the stock 275/60 r 20
the new tires would be 0.79" sidewall heighth, 0.39" wider, 1.6" more in diameter., and throw off your speedometer by 3mph.
Have you asked the tire shop? They may be able to tell if they will fit.

hahaha. ummm. That won't work. You could have 13" wheels and if the outer diameter and width are the same, you're back to where you were.
Long of the short...285/60/20 will fit.
There are some very minor differences between 3rd Gen and 4th Gen, but for the most part, THIS will be a suitable guide. The backspacing on the wheels is pretty much the same. difference of .05mm is hardly worth noting as it's only .002" difference..lol
