2009 Ram 1500 5.7 ABS Problem DTC C120D & C2200
Hi,
so my friend has problem with defective ABS system. He has been driving like this for a year and now he got really annoyed by "christmas lights" on his dashboard.
Problems:
- ABS not operational
- traction control not operational as well as stability control if it has one
Few days ago he went to jeep service and they run scan tool. It said there is problem with rear ABS. Something like this, I don't know exactly because it is in german language
But there were codes:
C120D REAR TRACTION CONTROL PRIME VALVE CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW
and
C2200 ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE INTERNAL
Mechanics said the would have to "investigate" and because of fact that those mechanics saw RAM truck possibly 10th time in their lifetime this would bring any good news
So I'm investigating my self... Well it is cheaper too
Ok, so we ordered rear abs speed sensors and there is no change in error.
Do you guys have any clues what else might be wrong? Maybe master cylinder? but I don't know why it could get wrong...
Oh and rear brake pads were also changed in middle of year, so I think rear brakes are working fine and front wheel bearing seem fine, no wobble there.

I had the same thing on my 09 cc 5.7 , They could never seem to see what it was ..
all the lights were on and on my you would feel the back brakes trying to the traction control ?
Finally one day same thing all over again ... took it in , did not turn off the truck
They ran a scan and the code , replaced my ABS harness to the back
Mine was covered under Max care I bought
Mine had around 150,000 when mine went haywire

I've also had the issue with DTC code C2200, the intrnal anti lock brake module. Now I've got no Trac control, no ABS, and a bunch of lights on my dash, including BRAKE, ABS, ESC, & the traction control light. I took it in to Burnette Automotive to have a scan run on it and they came up with the code of C2200. What I'm trying to do is find out where on the truck the module is located and whether or not I can do it myself. Also, if there's a way to tell which one it is (R or L) that's causing the problem, and if I can get away with doing just one or if I have to do both. Hell, I don't even know if there is more than one on the truck! Please, if anyone can help me with this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
