Like I said, your truck is a Sport. All Sport models (from 2009-2010 at least) show SLT on the top of the window sticker with 'Sport group' as an option. I think it was 'Sport premium group' in 2010. Regardless, it is a Sport and there is no mystery. The chrome grille was not rare on Sports back then.

As Blue mentioned, Sport is a package on top of the SLT. Same as a Big Horn/Lone Star I believe.

As far as the chrome grill, it was a little more than supply. There seems to have been a real lack of communications within Chrysler/Dodge or somewhere. I have a 2009 (swapped out the grill for a TRX model back when the truck was brand new almost). The Sport trucks in Canada and Mexico got the color matched grill (even the short run P***y Magnet yellow ones), but here in the US 99% of the Sports came with the chrome Laramie grill (Laramie because that's the only model with chrome honeycomb inserts). Very few people like it and most made the dealer swap it out or just did it themselves like I did. By 2010 the Sports were all suppose to have color matched, but the factory was still pumping out plenty of them with chrome. In fact it wasn't until 2nd Quarter of the 2010 model that the US started seeing color matched Sports.

Another thing to look for is the different Hemi badges that are on the sides of the 2009 models. The word Hemi is a lot larger and completely chrome. Very shiny and very different looking from the ones before and after that had black in the word Hemi and then a 2nd line saying 5.7 Liter.

 

Was wondering why my hemi badge was different, I have the one you mentioned that just says HEMI, I like it and my truck is the only one I have seen with it so far up here in Alaska

Yupp it's a sport. Up to 2010 sport was a package on top of slt(and laramie until 05). In 2011 it became it's own trim level

my 10 mango tango was a sport w/ chrome grille... painted grille was the first thing i changed...

funny i googled 2010 mango tango ram the other day and my truck is the first featured picture when it comes back w/ the results.... its famous!

 

that interior shot looks just like my 2010 big horn except for the climate controls. i have 3 ***** without that display.
