Default Firewall wiring

Hey guys (or gals),

I just bought a new Ram and and just joined this forum. Im in love with my truck, dont regret it at all.

I have LED strips, and want to wire them to a switch inside the cab, but have no idea where the best place to go through the firewall is, or where the best place to put the switch.

Any help would be appreciated.

Post #8 in this thread has info about how to get a wire from under hood through the firewall into the cab.

If you're talking about putting LED light strips in the bed of the truck, you could consider wiring them to the existing cargo light circuit so you can use that switch. I tapped into the wires behind the cargo light, ran the wire down along the rear window under the rubber trim, then into the bed. Not 100% elegant because the wire is exposed between the bed and cab but it worked for me.
