To be clear, the existing plastic sides are removed, and the deezee's installed in their place.

The Dee Zee black diamond plate ones i ordered directly from Dee Zee attached over the oem crappers with much 3m double sided tape. And the tailgate piece only covers about half the gate.Im very satisfied.I have always had good luck with dee zee products. If you go directly to dee zees website, before you order them , they make you read and check a disclaimer stating that they dont work without the factory plastic still intact.

I installed mine after removing the OEM plastic and they look normal. My plastic was too warped to have done it any other way.

Yeah I don't know how putting something over something that warps at different rates with the different temps and sunlight would ever work. I mean warp in the daytime and then go back down in the evening or nighttime. Like it is alive.....It's ALIVE!

Is that what the installation instructions said? It seems odd that they would be intended to apply over the existing stock covers. Do you have a picture of how it looks?

Yes, thats what they said, and thats how i did it, upon thinking about what you guys did , i like the idea of ripping off the oem warppers , and just sticking them right to the bed. This set looks fine, but my oem crappers werent in warp drive yet,[third set in 4 years].Next time, if needed , im going with no limits idea.

Hi All:
My 2013 SLT Big Horn is only 6 weeks old and after reading this thread I went to check on mine. I found they are attached with plastic spring clips that are inserted thru holes in the bed at least 4-5 per side. As this is a very late 2013, June 4, 2013, maybe a change was made to rectify the problem?

That's how they are on my 2010 too. It seems that some people just have problems with them coming loose.

The ones on my 2010 are still OK. What sort of cleaning stuff are you using? Maybe that is getting into the plastic and causing the warping.
