How much gear oil does a 2010 Ram with a 3:21 hold? I searched but no luck. My manual just say 5/8 below the fill hole.

on a 2009 it's

**9.25 Rear Axle 74 ounces 2.2 Liters
you need to buy 3 quarts

Stick with what your owner`s manual says. (and use synthetic...!)
Anywhere between 5/8ths & 1/2in below the fill hole and you`ll be just fine.
I always pick up 3qts when i change mine. Better to have enough than not enough in the middle of doing it.

Thanks for the replys. I measured what came out and it was almost 2 quarts even. 2 quarts put it about 5/8 below the hole.
