New Enkei wheels and Falken tires
Got 36K out of the factory tires, but they were mediocre when it was dry and downright hazardous when wet.
IMHO, there seem to be quite a few tires out there, but for 100% pavement and nothing much to look at, the Michelin LTX M/S2 are a no-brainer, upfront cost is high, but they're a 70K tire and have deep siping (not superficial like most).
But I wanted an A/T tire with good road manners and a good value (and decent reviews) - so I settled on the Falken Rockey Mountains and Enkei RT6 wheel via Discount Tire. Wheels are 20x9 with +12 offset and tires are staggered for aesthetics at 275/60R20 front and 305/55R20 rear (circumference of the tires is w/in .7") - I can hear the crackle of the flames already.
$1960~ total, but then you get a bunch of rebates: $100 for new wheels, $75 for tires, $80 for using their credit, $50 from Falken - total discount is $305.
P.S. Tires at present (just got them today - 2013.3.22) are whisper quiet on the highway and have excellent grip. I'll update the tire review in a couple of months.

Thanks. I needed a wider tire for the 305's and was hoping the 7mm reduction in offset wouldn't push the tires out too far. The overall look came out as clean as I was looking for and the improvement in handling over the OEM's is noticeable. Plus, the wheels are a few pounds lighter than the OEM sport rims - but the tires are a bit heavier.
So far on the highway, no drop in mileage. But around town, with the heavier tires, I've lost about 1 MPG or so it seems.
