Default Headlight Issue

Hey guys, I was hoping you all could help me out and give me a little advice on a headlight issue I am having with my '10 Ram SLT Big Horn.

A few weeks ago, I noticed that the driver's side headlight was out and that it would come back on after I drove it for a bit and the light "warmed up." Thinking that the headlight bulb was starting to go out, I replaced both headlights with Sylvania Xtravision bulbs this past Friday, but of course, I am still having the same issue. The driver's side headlight still doesn't always turn on when unlocking the vehicle or during the initial drive. Again, its as if it needs to warm up first. Have any of you had this issue before and do you know what causes this? Could it possibly be a fuse? I would like to get it fix asap, but am really not looking forward to dealing with the dealership again...

Thanks in advice for the help.

Hi, did you ever get this figured out I just started having the same problem on my 2012 with 8300 miles on it. It happened when I took the headlight out to install HID's now it's on and off even putting stock lights back in. Very frustrating. On mine its not when they are warmed up it's just when it feels like working it does.

Sorry to say, but I have not had any luck solving the problem by myself. It does sound like you and I are having the same exact issue though as my light goes on and off as it pleases as if its "winking." I am starting to believe its a short in the wiring as it seems to be occurring more frequently for me now and it's more wet outside. Perhaps a wire getting wet?

Once my work schedule allows it, I'm gonna be bringing my rig into my mechanic to see if we can solve the issue. Once I get it figured out, I'll post it on here. Hopefully you have better luck than I have...

If it was shorting out it blow the fuse or relay. Have you checked all the grounds? Connection on the back of the light? Tested the voltage on the positive wire going to the light? Sounds more like a connection somewhere being bad.

I have not had the opportunity to get behind the headlight again, but I was hoping to take a look at the connections before taking it to my mechanic. I'll report back with what I find out.

Thanks for the advice, its much appreciated!

Default Ground wire issue

Seems to be a ground wire issue from the research I have done. My truck (09 Crew Cab), has a passenger side high beam out. It blinks several times when I first start the truck. Haven't had time to play with it yet.
