That's the question. There aren't a lot of choices for affordable 4th gen caps, but there are plenty of 02 to 08 options out there. They look so similar, does anyone know from experience?

I have a 2010 trx4 quad cab short bed.
Will it not fit or just look a little different? I can make small mods if thats all it is.

take the truck in and have them set the cap on and see how it looks. we took the 3rd gen tonneau cover off my truck and tried it on my borthers 4th gen befor we ordered one for him.

I want to know if I should be looking for 3rd Gen or not. Looking used.

 

yea it fit.

 

I talked to some used cap suppliers: they all said the tailgate is different and won't close properly.
I do still wonder if I could modify it a little, but I'm not going to try.

I'd still love to hear from someone who has actually tried a cap in this manor.

My brother has a 3rd gen with a cap, i have a 4th gen, i`ll compare the measurements this weekend and let you know what i find
