Having an issue with a 2012 2500 diesel. It was recently put in a ditch, when the wrecker pulled it out half the bumper got pushed in some and the front driver side tire was gashed. Tire has been replaced and other than this cosmetic damage, the truck is fine and drives like nothing happened...

Except for the ESP light on the dash (right side) is on all the time and the cruise will not work. I can turn the cruise control on, but pushing the set button does nothing at all. Anyone has any ideas as to why?

Damaged speed sensor would be my guess.

It is involved in traction control and obviously cruise control.

Not a pricey fix.

 

Yup - take a look at the wiring harness leading to the front wheel that was damaged. It is either the harness that got severed or the wheel sensor is damaged.

 

I'd bet its a wheel speed sensor as well.
