Default 4x4 Low - what is normal?

Sorry if this is on here in another thread. I've looked for some time and cannot find the answer. Kinda a noob question.

When my new-to-me 2010 ram laramie is switched to 4x4 low the evic screen displays ESP and BAS. The traction control light is also illuminated.

Since I just had both front CV shafts replaced under warrantee I thought the dealer forgot to hook up a wire or something. I booked an appointment and took it in. Dealership later called me back and said mechanic took for a test drive and nothing is wrong. He went on to explain that the ESP and BAS light along with the traction control light are supposed to be illuminated when in 4x4 LOW. Is this right? Seems odd to me

The 4x4 low light also kept blinking until the truck tranny was put into nuetral but i see that is normal according to the owners manual. (I miss my 99 ram's 4x4 shifter on the floor where you didn't need to be in nuetral)

Sorry for what is probably a stupid question but so far I cannot find the answer.

Redneckcountry,

Congratulations on your purchase & welcome to the Dodge Forum!

No need to worry this is standard operation when in 4X4 low. When the vehicle is put into 4Low, it does disable some features such as traction control and ESP/BAS operation so it does not interfere when off-roading. More of this information can be found on page 385 of the Owner's Manual (first edition).

I hope this helps and if you have any other inquires feel free to PM me!
