Default uconnect or lockpick problem? help

Ok let me start by listing my setup and then issues im having

Any similar experiences or tips on what steps to take here will be appreciated!

09 Ram 1500 SLt 5.7 factory ren (touchscreen no nav)

Purchased certified used in 7/2011 w 30k miles currently @ 60k miles no warranty left

installed lockpick chr550/ipod cable late 2011

installed sub w/2 10" alpines & hifonics amp using hi/low adapter

Got new battery 1k miles ago

have factory ren? Radio touch screen no nav

Lockpick chr550 w ipod con2 10" alpine subs 1 aftermarket amp w hi/low adapter

started around 1 year ago radio stopped playing ipod video mode and auto mode

For atleast a year or so every so often once maybe every 3-4 months seemed random as i would turn on the radio steering wheel controls wouldnt function and/or there would be no volume at all even though the screen displayed showed volume going up or down (no biggy since it was rare when it accured) it would go away when i turned off truck and then restarted
couple weeks ago it started to do that more frequently. atleast 1x per day.

my ipod sometimes worked when nothing else would play.

4 days ago I unpluged and repluged the chr550 and that seems to have killed all ipod controls now

2 days later I have radio powering on and off all the time (stays off 5-10 minutes) randomly
09 dodge ram slt 5.7

Worst thing is I commute with my cousin and he was just telling me about all the things he likes about my truck over his 08 escalade doesnt have! Grrrrr

Ps so there is no remaining factory warranty I declined to purchase extra especially since I do alot of after market upgrades! I am hoping to keep the factory radio. Good Bluetooth, usb, aux, hard drive, dvd, steering wheel controls..cant ask for much more especially with the lockpick setup! Help cause im very close to ripping the factory radio out and put $2k on credit card 4 new head unit to fix embarrassing ridiculous issues!

My suggestion would be to have the dealership flash your unit with the latest software. The REN and other units have had a flash released that dealt with some of the issues you are describing here. Although the Lockpic or one of the other mods may be causing the problem, making sure you have the latest software for the radio would be my first suggestion.

When you say the vehicle was Certified, did you buy it from a Chrysler/Dodge/Ram dealer? Did it only come with a 5/60 Certified Powertrain coverage then? Just checking.

If it was a Certified vehicle it should have came with a 3/3 Maximum Care and a longer powertrain warranty. If you want to PM me the vin I can check on it.

cool so i have powertrain warranty thats good! Problem is it doesnt cover radio. I have a freakin ram tattoo on me! I wonder if dodge would sponser me and gie me a free vehicle for the adertsment!!!!

I have been dealing with coastaltech trying to trouble shoot the lockpick to see what the problem is and if its the lockpick causing it but its been difficult due to my schedule and 3hr time diffrence.
I got them on the phone 2xs during lunch breaks, troubleshooting with no result, the 3rd time we had an appointment wich was a scheduled call for "additional" trouble shooting got out work early and when i call the guy wasnt available and never called back.
They had me reset my ipod, was told i can no longer use the ipod classic. Disconnect all power from lockpick and reconnect it and nothing!!! All connections seem solid, no loose wires, broken still or twisted pins like ive read in other post. they refuse to send any replacements untill they can trouble shoot over the phone some more!
