Unhappy AirLift 1000 Problem

I have a Canadian Ram 1500 4x4 Sport Crew Cab: I purchased a AirLift 1000 kit this spring and just went to install it tonight.

Here is my question. The air line is supposed to be run through the upper spring seat - through a hole. My upper spring support has a sort of shallow metal 'cup' bolted inside the rubber spring seat. I think the bolt is blocking the hole the air line is supposed to run through.

The truck is completely stock.

Has anyone else run into this? Should I remove the bolt and perhaps the metal cup?

I assume for the rear? My american dodge did not have a metal cap with a bolt through it, rather a rubber gasket of some sorts.

I didn't have anything in the way. I did find an easy way to install the bags really quickly.

You can do one of two things.... drill a hole for the air line to go thru, or just remove the bolt and metal plate all together.
That bolt & plate is only there to hold the springs in place during the factory assembly line process.
