Default 2012 ram res radio into an 09 ram

I am trying to determine if my rer radio is giving noise through my system.

So, I'm going to try to by an res from a 2012 ram and put it in my 2009 1500. Since they are relatively inexpensive. Then sell it after I determine the problem.

I originally had a res in it and removed it to put in the rer. But I sold the res.

I added an amp and sub a few years ago, but now all of a sudden I have noise. It's not the amp or sub or signal wires. I think it's the head unit.

I read that the 2011 and up rams have a new speed can bus.

Do you think the 12 res will work in my 09?

2009 was the switch to a high speed bus in Ram, prior years were a low speed bus.

You should be covered up to model year 2012. 2013 is another whole ball of wax. Just a note, some other Chrysler product lines used a low speed bus to either 2011 or 2012, not really sure of the year and which models.
