Got a used 2010 ram 1500 and cannot get my phone to hook up with it . Every time I try I just get U connect not equipped even when you hit both buttons phone and voice command.

Any suggestions?

 

Yes, buy the U-connect module and install it It is telling you that your truck does not have that feature.

The buttons are there in case you install the option, so they don't have to have a dozen different radios depending on what options get installed.

 

How much is the module? Where can you get it (dealership only?)?

 

Mine is the low end radio so I don't have the buttons or the uconnect. I was thinking of adding it but now I have to buy a new (used) head unit as well as the uconnect. At least you have the deck lol

 

Standard radio. My wife's Jeep GC has the button, but no uconnect.

Now the question is, did you buy from a dealership? If so, did they advertise it has having unconnect?

If yes, there is a chance you can get them to install it, stating it was falsely advertised. However, if they didn't say it had it, you got what you paid for.

Did you speak with a Dodge dealer regarding your Uconnect? If you'd like to PM your VIN# I can confirm if the vehicle is equipped with the Uconnect feature or if it has to be installed.
