Unhappy 17 inch vs 20inch tire 2010 4x4 slt

I have stock 20inch tires. I do not want to shell out extra $ if the only difference is bling. I do a lot of off road travel and hunting. The same truck is offered with 17's what would it take programing wise to change and is it really worth it.? how big of a differance is it? Right now I find that the 20" goodyears that come stock are like skis in the mud they suck. Ive had blowouts with only 12000 km on them twice. Once with a quad in the back in the middle of the night in a snow storm nowhere close to a town, not fun. I will be getting a leveling kit and would like to move to the maximum tire size for extra hight with out having to get a lift and shims, and all the over priced costly stuff. I just want a good looking , feeling and handling tire with maximum clearence without braking an already broken bank.

Thanks
Travis.

i really didn't like my goodyears for much more than ride. find a better tire. if you have a programmer you can program your tire size, but not knowing your driving conditions and style, maybe someone else can recommend a tire.
