Default Dodge Ram UConnect/Navigation issue

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 sport and this week i got in my truck to see that my bluetooth wouldnt connect to my phone. I also realized that my navigation was not working (stating that my navigation required a disk to load) and that my HD music files are all gone. What could be the problem. I called the dealer and of course they said, bring it in it cost $90 for us to look at it and $90 more to do the software update. Any one else had an issue like this?

Welcome to DF.

It sounds like something reset your computer, or at least your stereo/nav unit. Could be a real problem, or just a fluke. Either way, it seems to have a "factory reset" done to it, which would erase all updates/files.

Short of paying the $tealership to at least do the update, I am not sure if there are any alternatives. I will move you to the 4th Gen Ram section, they may have better answers for you. For future reference:

Braydog,

Did you speak with the parts manager to confirm if there is a software update available for your vehicle? You can ask to have the upgrade installed, however the upgrade may not resolve all of the concerns if there are other issues with the vehicle.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to help.
