Rear end failing. Again....

Default Rear end failing. Again....

My rear end is howling on decel. Dope is full, no play in shaft. Amy idea what is going wrong??

This is not the first rear diff issue I've had.

Howling on deceleration usually means a bad outer pinion bearing. You said again - what was done to fix it the first time?

It's failed 3 other times.

1st fail was pinion nut back off
2nd fail was carrier bearings, new gears, bearings
3rd fail was pinion nut again, complete new axle

Sounds like the tech's that worked on it didn't do a proper job or didn't know what they were doing. First time should have taken care of the problem, period.
