I don't post a lot but thought I would let everyone know of my thoughts of the hemi tuner. I bought it to tow my travel trailer. Well and play a little bit! Actually love that I can monitor the truck as well. Saved my *** with the transmission temp. Got a little heavy footed pulling my trailer and wasn't paying attention to the monitor and it warned me that she was getting a little close to the temp I set it to warn me about. Great product. Btw. I also love the other things you can change on the truck like the fogs stay on with brights along with some other cool options. Also saved my ***! Power is great too! I have only used the 89 octane tune so far but dam! Great power shift points way better. I just uploaded the performance tune and haven't drove it yet but will keep you posted!

 

The alarm, like for the transmission Temp, sounds like a nice feature. Does the tuner have to be installed then so it can beep, chime or whatever?

 

Yes. You have to have the monitor hooked up. It will display whatever you want to monitor. Like trans temp coolant temp throttle position etc. I did the performance tune. I really haven't noticed any difference between the mid and performance tunes. But the difference between stock and the mid tune is a pretty good difference. My opinion, it's worth the money.
